History The International Academy of Educational Leaders (IAEL) was established on January 31, 1997, in San Antonio, Texas. The Articles of Organization were approved on May 1, 1998. The organization meets in late January to early March of each year to analyze the issues regarding the linking of professors and practitioners.   The intent of the organization is to have a small cohesive group who seriously and adequately focus on and together research educational administration issues.  Purpose The International Academy of Educational Leaders (IAEL) is an international organization whose purpose shall be to improve the profession of educational leadership. Through active participation of its members, the organization seeks to increase communication between practitioners and professors of educational administration and educational leadership. The primary focus is on  issues that can be researched with the results being made available to professors and practitioners alike.
